The Moon tarot card meaning

The Moon tarot

The Moon tarot card meaning

Moon tarot card meaning – Spiritual. The card represents life of the imagination apart from life of the spirit. So that there are no misunderstanding, i will state here that the primitive man had a better connection to the Spirit than today’s man. By no means does an awareness of the Spirit imply intelligence, academic knowledge, religious beliefs, faith and the likes. The Spirit, or the Divine, acts like a lighthouse. It is our anchor to safety. When this is absent the mind is in a state of constant unrest.

The pillars signify a gateway to another level of awareness. I will posit that this is the first gateway. In order to pass through this gate, the mind must follow the light of the Spirit.

The Moon tarot card Upright and Reversed meaning

The Moon tarot card meaning upright

I have said that the card represents the mind away from the Spirit. What does this mean? Let us mention the obvious first, the seven deadly sins. These sins are adulteration of survival instincts. It is when action is not done for the act of survival, but for pleasure. Pleasure here is not in the object, but rather in the uncontrolled action. Secondly there are the actions without purpose, take for example a billionaire who continues to amass wealth. The Moon tarot card is not concern with the actions, but rather in what causes these actions. It is a state of FEAR.

The card is said to represent hidden enemies, danger, calumny, darkness, terror, deception, error. The card represents occult forces when Magick is used in discordance with our Divine purpose. It is quite easy for the initiate to use his or her knowledge of the elements to influence people or situations. These interference with the natural course of a situation is indicated by the card.

I have seen more than one Spiritual Seeker fall into that trap. Fear and self pity are powerful enemies, and the ego is their dear friend. The Moon tarot card does not give an indication of your level of education be it academic or Spiritual. It shows how you have chosen to operate, guided by your primal instinct, or by the light of your Higher Self.

The Moon tarot card meaning reversed

When reversed the card indicates tan awareness of the need to detach with these primal instinct. However, this is easier said than done. Thus, the individual will go through a state of confusion. There will be
instability, inconstancy, silence, lesser degrees of deception and error. Note that these would be as a result of their own doubts. Let me explain something for Spiritual Seekers here; You can reach the Divine choosing either the left hand path or the right hand path. Your meditation and Spirit guides will give you clear indications on which path suits you in this life.

It is when you tread on both side simultaneously or interchangeably, that this result in the effect mentioned above. See, the individual here wants to keep control over some aspect of his or her life, out of FEAR, even knowing that this control is an illusion. For this, he will define his own set of rules to define what his actions and reactions are to be in the face of different situations. It will not be long before they face the card in the upright position.

The Moon tarot card meaning – Summary

Fear is what triggers the effect of this card; whether upright of reversed. It is the root of the problem that is important, i.e. fear. When upright it is fear of losing the self, and when reversed it is fear of leaving that which is familiar. In both cases the element fear is strong enough to allow our primal instinct to take control over our actions and reactions. Let day of the card is drawn in a query about a situation, look past the effect of the card, these will only confirm what you already know. Look for the element of fear. Identify where it comes from and tackle it directly. The rest will fall into place automatically.

If you cannot remove the fear element, get away from the situation or the person. Nothing can be achieved by force or direct action here. And if the card represents occult forces, again identify what caused that reaction, if it is gratuitous, protect yourself. If not identify why the other person sees you as a threat, if you can change that, good. If you cannot, leave. There is little that reason and logic can achieve here. Either you do the right action that appease the other side or you have the opposite effect.
