The Way Forward – Transit

How to move forward in life
Transit

Although we live in the present (most of us at least), our psyche dwells in three distinct spacetime, namely past, present, and of course future. They exist in a continuum, and for most of us, the predictability and stability of our future condition provides a firm block enabling us to enjoy the present.

Our subject, The Way Forward, concerns those turning points of our lives, when we are faced with decisions which will have serious impact on our future. In a tarot spread, this will manifest by the presence of Major Arcana cards. When we reached a turning point, it is most likely that matters will be disruptive, our psyche will be like a pinball machine, assessing past, present and future continuously, the routine suddenly changes, possibilities and extrapolations abound. The resultant effect of this is a state of continuous stress, as we are unable to reasonably predict our future condition.

The first thing to do when we are at a turning point, is to stop and take stock of our life:-
– what have we achieved up to now?
– are we satisfied with ourselves?
– what happened to our dreams?
– what have we gain as experience?
– how to we redefine words like friends, trust, love, family, colleagues?
– who can we really count on?

Having done that, now is the time to relax for a few days and do something soothing and pleasant, (alcohol and other intoxication is strongly discouraged at this stage), be in nature, eat fruits and walk barefoot to reconnect with Gaea. Ground yourself, take deep breath and exhale as slowly as you can for at least 5 mins a day. Get this moment alone with yourself, outside in nature, to reconnect with your inner child. If you have the opportunity to be near a body of water, (lake or sea), be near it as it will recharge your batteries faster.

A week has passed now and fortunately your psyche should be back to a normal state, the impact of the disruptive nature of the situation and the unpredictability of the future will be curtailed by the stocktake and grounding exercises. Now it is time for you to take a decision. A turning point will entail leaving something, someone, or a situation which we have been accustomed to. There are several meditative techniques – cutting ties – which allow us to do just that. But as for any mechanism, there are certain conditions which are primordial for its effectiveness.

Now we are back to the “cutting ties” meditation. It should last 28 days, if you fulfilled the above conditions, then it should go on very smoothly. The whole process would take you approximately 1 hour per day and can be adapted to your daily routine. It is recommended to go to sleep at dusk and wake up before dawn.

Let us recap.
1. Forgiveness
2. Detoxification
3. Communion
4. Cutting ties
5. Cleansing

Do step 1 to 3 only for the first week. (7 + 21 days)
After that week then add the cutting ties and cleansing meditation. (21 days)

This is the transit period that is advisable to negotiate a major turning point in our life. I would like to end with this point: the greatest enemy you will face during such time is YOURSELF, more precisely your EGO. Every other obstacles are futile and easily taken care of. The Ego, on the other hand, is a formidable enemy. I have witnessed people who had completed all the necessary exercises to progress in their life along the ideal path to pay their karmic debt and learn their karmic lesson, when at the last moment the Ego jumps in with all its weight……back to square minus one (-1). The Ego is associated with the karmic lesson, it will do everything to prevent this lesson from being learnt. For your Ego, we can do nothing, no not really, we can, but it will entail depriving you of your free will, some people do it, we don’t.

Bye for now
Lots of love
Peace to all of you.
